ABOUT METRO RICHMOND CRIME STOPPERS

Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers was formed in 1984 by a group of concerned retailers, regional law enforcement officials, and the support of the Retail Merchants Association. This makes Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers one of the oldest Crime Stoppers organizations in the United States.

Cash rewards of up to $1,000 are provided by private donations and have established Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers as an effective crime- and gang-fighting tool.

Tipsters call the 804-780-1000 tipline and are assured of their anonymity by being given an identification number. Again, no names! Approved rewards are paid out in cash by the identification number. Hence our slogan,”We don’t have to know who you are to know who they are!”
