IT'S TIME TO RESPECT RICHMOND

Almost half a million people are victims of gun violence each year in the United States. Unfortunately, Richmond isn’t immune from that statistic.

Gang-related crime and gun violence are on the rise in Richmond, but it doesn’t have to be that way. You can do something about it!

Project Safe Neighborhoods is here in Richmond to help you take a stand and reclaim your neighborhood. Check out the resources and services available in your community.

RVA LEAGUE FOR SAFER STREETS

RVA League for Safer Streets is a community basketball league and empowerment program in Richmond, VA created to connect former inmates with youth, young adults, and local law enforcement officers. The initiative was created in 2017 by two ex-offenders, Jawad Abdu and Paul Taylor, as a way to offer positive life lessons to at-risk youth, teach non-violence, and build unity between communities.
